Quick Summary
HabitCircuit values your privacy. All data is securely stored locally on your device and is never sent to external servers. You can optionally share routines, but no personally identifiable information is included.
1. Purpose of Data Collection and Use
HabitCircuit ("the App") processes only minimal information for the following purposes:
- Storing and managing routine data
- Tracking streak records
- Providing notification services
- Improving app usability
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Locally Stored Information (Device Only)
- Routine Data: Names, categories, time slots, and order of user-created routines
- Completion Records: Routine completion status and dates
- Streak Data: Current streak, longest record, total completion days
- Settings: Notification times and activation status
- Saved Routine Sets: Up to 5 routine sets saved by the user
Important: All of the above information is stored only on your device (iPhone/iPad) and is never transmitted to external servers.
2.2 Optional Sharing Information
- When sharing routines: Only routine data explicitly chosen for sharing is temporarily stored in Firebase
- No personally identifiable information is included in shared data
- Only routine names, categories, and time slots are included
2.3 Information We DO NOT Collect
- Personal identifiable information such as name, email, or phone number
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos and media
- Device unique identifiers (except optional advertising ID)
3. Data Storage and Retention
3.1 Local Storage
All routine data is encrypted and stored locally using iOS Core Data.
3.2 iCloud Backup
Depending on your iOS system settings, app data may be backed up to iCloud. This follows Apple's Privacy Policy.
3.3 Shared Data
Routine data that users choose to share is stored in Firebase Firestore:
- Automatically deleted after 30 days from sharing
- Users can request deletion at any time
- Contains no personally identifiable information
4. Third-Party Data Sharing
The App does not share your personal information with third parties, except in the following cases:
- When required by law
- With explicit user consent

6. Your Rights
You have the following rights:
6.1 Right to Access
You can view all stored data within the app at any time.
6.2 Right to Rectification
You can directly modify routine data within the app.
6.3 Right to Deletion
- Delete individual routines
- Delete all routines (Settings > Manage Saved Routines > Delete All Current Routines)
- All data is permanently deleted when the app is uninstalled
6.4 Right to Data Portability
You can export your data in JSON format via Settings > "Export Routines".
7. Security
The App implements the following security measures:
- All local data is encrypted using iOS security features
- No sensitive data is transmitted over the internet
- Shared routine data contains no personally identifiable information
- Regular security updates and improvements
8. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us to request deletion.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
10. International Users
Since all data is stored locally on your device, your information remains within your jurisdiction. For routine sharing, data is stored on Firebase servers which may be located globally.
11. Your Choices
11.1 Advertising
You can:
- Enable "Limit Ad Tracking" in iOS Settings > Privacy > Advertising
- Reset your advertising identifier
11.2 Notifications
You can:
- Enable or disable notifications in app Settings
- Manage notification permissions in iOS Settings > Notifications > HabitCircuit
11.3 Routine Sharing
You can:
- Choose whether to share routines (completely optional)
- Request deletion of shared routines at any time
